About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience in behavioral health and family support. You will work directly with our team to assist in the delivery of mental health services. This is an unpaid position intended for academic credit.
What you'll do#
- Assist with individual, family, and group therapy sessions.
- Support substance abuse treatment programs.
- Gain experience with clinical interventions, assessments, and treatment plans.
- Handle case documentation.
- Attend a mandatory orientation and training session.
- Meet the specific goals outlined by your university and site supervisor.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, or related degree program at an accredited institution.
- Good academic standing.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Maturity and self-motivation.
- Comfort working with families from diverse backgrounds.
- An established contract between your academic institution and our organization.
Location & details#
- Location: Meridian, Mississippi.
- Term: Winter 2027.
- Commitment: Minimum 100 hours, unless otherwise specified by your academic contract.
- Dress Code: Business casual or clinical attire.
