About the role#
As a student intern, you will join our multi-disciplinary team to work under the supervision of a licensed engineer. You will gain exposure to new construction and renovation projects across the healthcare, educational, commercial, and science and technology markets. This role is based on business needs and has the potential to evolve into a full-time entry-level position for qualified students.
What you'll do#
- Perform uncomplicated designs for HVAC system ductwork, piping, controls, and equipment selection.
- Assist in Revit and BIM modeling of HVAC construction drawings through various project phases.
- Support the review and markup of shop drawing submittals.
- Suggest improvements for process, quality, and coordination efforts.
- Visit job sites to verify existing conditions and observe construction progress, which may involve physical walk-throughs.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor or Master degree program in Engineering.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with engineering design programs, such as Revit MEP, is preferred.
