About the role#
Canem Systems Ltd. is hiring a Student Project Coordinator for a full-time co-op position. This role is based in Vancouver, British Columbia, and runs for 16 months starting in January 2027. You will work on-site and receive support from a supervisor and technical mentor throughout your term.
What you'll do#
- Coordinate drawings and manage specific work scopes or trades.
- Review trade quotes and verify material quantities, hours, and rates.
- Participate in project meetings and conduct deficiency walks to update logs.
- Issue warranties and manage progress photos.
- Update field drawings and produce as-built drawings.
- Perform quantity takeoffs and verify site conditions against drawings.
- Coordinate and supervise sub-trade work.
- Set up and maintain project record keeping.
- Layout site lines and grades using a total station.
- Create and maintain manual and graphical project schedules.
- Obtain scheduling information from sub-trades and monitor manpower productivity.
What you'll need#
- You must be a student currently pursuing a post-secondary degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
