About the role#
We are hiring an Engineering Student to join our team at the MELLOY Industrial Services Inc. project site near Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta. This is a full-time, paid position for the Winter 2027 term. You will work on-site for a duration of 4, 8, or 12 months starting in January 2027.
What you'll do#
- Assist with project planning, scheduling, progress monitoring, and cost control.
- Participate in project meetings and review drawings.
- Submit requests for information and help identify or resolve field technical issues.
- Act as an ambassador for safety campaigns and conduct field safety inspections.
- Communicate project changes to trades staff.
- Maintain project records and handle adhoc duties as required.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an engineering degree or diploma program with a mechanical major.
- A strong interest in working within a construction environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Suite and general computer software.
- A self-motivated, multi-discipline mindset.
- Prior field construction experience is an asset, as is knowledge of AutoCAD and Bluebeam.
Location & details#
- The role is based in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta.
- This is an on-site position.
- You must be able to provide your own CSA-approved steel-toed boots.
- You must be willing to take and pass a pre-access alcohol and drug test.
- Shift rotation may be required.
