About the role#
This is an entry-level drilling operations support position based at our head office in Calgary. You will work with the Drill Tech team to support regulatory compliance and drilling reporting. This is a paid, full-time position for a 4-month term starting in May 2027.
What you'll do#
- Support the Drill Tech team by applying knowledge of Alberta Energy Regulator requirements and directives, including Directive 056, 008, and 059.
- Assist with well licensing, well license amendments, and daily drilling reports.
- Gain hands-on experience with industry software such as Wellview, Accumap, Power BI, and Tableau.
- Participate in various drilling tasks, including offset reviews, E-filing, and end-of-well submissions.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in the Bachelor of Applied Technology - Petroleum Engineering or Petroleum Engineering Technology program at SAIT.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- A collaborative mindset and the ability to work in a demanding environment.
- Legal authorization to work in Canada without restrictions.
Location & details#
- Location: Calgary, Alberta.
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day.
- This is an on-site, safety-sensitive position.
