About the role#
Cambridge International Systems, Inc. is hiring a Business Writing Intern to support operations. This role offers exposure to business development and proposal writing within the defense contracting sector. You will report to the Director of Proposals and work as part of a geographically dispersed team. This is a paid, part-time position with a rolling term.
What you'll do#
- Compile and maintain records of business transactions and office activities.
- Perform various administrative duties using established systems and procedures.
- Transcribe, format, input, edit, and transmit text, data, and graphics.
- Type agendas for meetings, manuscripts, letters, and other documents.
- Read and route correspondence and initiate telecommunications.
- Collect information, tabulate data, and prepare reports.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in English, Communications, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proficiency with computers and relevant office technologies.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work under deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to interact effectively with others in various environments.
- Comfort with periods of prolonged sitting or standing.
Location & details#
- This position is fully remote.
- The primary office location is Virginia Beach, Virginia.
- Employment is contingent upon a successful background investigation and potential drug screening.
