About the role#
The Social Media Assistant supports the university's communications team by identifying and creating content that highlights student life, student activities, and education at the California University of Science and Medicine. This role involves maintaining the content calendar and managing university social media channels.
What you'll do#
- Create content focused on student activities and life.
- Manage the content calendar in coordination with the Executive Director of Strategic Communications.
- Use social media management platforms to post content and engage with the community.
- Provide technical support for university social media channels.
- Capture high-quality photos and videos for university use.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as an M1 MD student at CUSM in good academic standing.
- Expert knowledge of social media platforms including Instagram, Facebook, X, Threads, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
- Strong written communication skills.
- Ability to capture quality photos and video.
- Willingness to use personal technology devices, such as a smartphone or laptop, to perform job tasks.
