About the role#
The Mechanical Engineering Intern supports the Engineering Team in daily project activities, documentation, and basic engineering tasks. This entry-level position provides hands-on experience in mechanical engineering within EPC project execution, focusing on learning, mentorship, and the development of foundational technical and professional skills. Prior professional experience is not required.
What you'll do#
- Support the preparation, organization, and review of engineering documentation and basic calculations.
- Develop and maintain the Master Bill of Materials (BOM) and update engineering lists, including Valve, Instrument, Piping Line, and Equipment lists.
- Prepare document and drawing submittal cover sheets, engineering data sheets, and technical documentation packages.
- Assist in the preparation of material purchasing specifications, material compliance lists, and Request for Quotation (RFQ) documents.
- Perform basic engineering calculations under mentor guidance, such as fluid flow rates, pressure, and pipe fluid velocity.
- Assist in checking pipe, valve, and instrument pressure ratings and review drawings for completeness and consistency.
- Utilize Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for documentation, tracking, and reporting.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a high school or college/university student in Mechanical Engineering.
- A strong interest in engineering and a willingness to learn.
- A basic understanding of mathematics, physics, and engineering principles.
- No prior work experience is required.
