About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience with healthcare claims, data analysis, and auditing. You will work alongside industry professionals to assist with specific stop loss claim audits. The role is remote and requires approximately 20 hours per week with a flexible schedule.
What you'll do#
- Review and audit specific stop loss claim submissions.
- Validate claim documentation and supporting records for accuracy and completeness.
- Analyze medical and pharmaceutical claims data.
- Identify claim discrepancies, potential overpayments, and audit findings.
- Use Excel and other Microsoft Office tools to organize, analyze, and report data.
- Support the audit team with client reports, audit summaries, and special projects.
- Maintain the confidentiality of sensitive client data and protected health information.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a sophomore pursuing a degree in Health Administration, Public Health, Biology, or Biomedical Sciences.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a remote environment.

- This position is fully remote.
- Compensation is $19.00 per hour.
- This is a paid internship.
