About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience within the insurance industry. You will work from the Richfield, Ohio office during the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, paid position.
What you'll do#
- Handle entry-level accounting tasks related to prepaid assets, fixed assets, and other liabilities.
- Complete journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Assist with daily banking and treasury management functions, such as tracking cash balances and recording transfers.
- Support investment accounting and reporting by posting transactions and income.
- Manage reinsurance reconciliations, billings, and payments.
- Assist with SEC reporting, including XBRL tagging and proofreading quarterly filings.
- Support statutory loss and investment reporting.
- Prepare reports and analyses for management as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor degree program in Accounting at a four-year college or university.
- An anticipated graduation date between Fall/Winter 2027 and Spring 2028.
