About the role#
This Manufacturing Engineer Internship offers students hands-on experience within a professional operations environment. You will support day-to-day department activities, contribute to project work, and assist with process improvement initiatives. This role is designed for students eager to develop practical skills and gain exposure to professional engineering tools and systems.
What you'll do#
- Investigate manufacturing and equipment issues caused by design or process variations and propose solutions.
- Develop and implement autonomous maintenance documentation for critical automated equipment, including safety requirements and task frequency.
- Assist the engineering team in creating and reviewing standard work documentation like process sheets and checklists.
- Conduct time studies using methodologies such as MOST and MTM.
- Collaborate with team members on projects focused on productivity and cost savings.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an engineering degree program, preferably Manufacturing, with Sophomore or Junior status.
- Proficiency in CREO software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to interpret data and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills in English.
- A collaborative approach and the ability to manage multiple tasks while meeting deadlines.
- Professionalism, dependability, and attention to detail.
- Preferred: Experience with AutoCAD, Statistical Process Techniques, Failure Analysis, Process Validation, and Lean tools.

- Location: Hartford, Wisconsin.
- Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week.
- Modality: On-site.
- Term: Summer 2027 (June 1, 2027, through August 20, 2027).
- This is a paid internship.
