About the role#
BrightAI is looking for a Computer Vision Intern to join our team in Palo Alto. This is a paid, full-time, on-site internship. You will work directly with our engineering team to manage data pipelines and model training workflows. This position is for a duration of 6 to 12 months with a rolling start date.
What you'll do#
- Annotate images and video for object detection, segmentation, and classification.
- Refine labeling schemas and class taxonomies when edge cases arise.
- Write Python scripts to convert annotation formats, validate label integrity, and generate dataset statistics.
- Perform quality assurance on labels to identify systematic errors or ambiguous cases.
- Run baseline YOLO training experiments to evaluate dataset quality and find labeling gaps.
- Document conventions and decisions regarding edge cases.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Working knowledge of Python and common libraries like NumPy and OpenCV.
- Strong attention to detail and patience for precision work.
- Familiarity with YOLO, PyTorch, segmentation masks, or model-assisted labeling is a plus.
