About the role#
This is an 8-week Summer Associate position within the Corporate Finance and Valuation practice. You will work alongside senior consulting professionals to provide valuation services for transaction opinions, portfolio valuations, tax and financial reporting, litigation, and special situations. This role is based in our Boston and New York offices during the summer of 2027.
What you'll do#
- Analyze historical and projected financial information.
- Build detailed financial models to value companies and investments.
- Organize large data sets in Microsoft Excel.
- Use platforms like Capital IQ and Bloomberg to gather market data.
- Research client industries to identify competitive advantages and risks.
- Develop an understanding of GAAP and SEC reporting requirements.
- Communicate project status and findings to internal and external stakeholders.
- Draft reports and contribute to business development activities, including client meetings and presentations.
- Collaborate with team members to share responsibilities and meet client deadlines.
What you'll need#
- Progression toward a Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5.
- Strong problem-solving and project management skills.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Intellectual curiosity and a professional demeanor.
- Legal right to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship.
