About the role#
BRG Communications is seeking a full-time, paid intern for the Fall 2026 term. This role offers hands-on experience through client projects and mentorship within a public relations agency focused on health and social issues. This is a hybrid position based in Alexandria, Virginia.
What you'll do#
- Track media and manage coverage grids.
- Conduct industry research to prepare for media interviews.
- Research digital influencers, potential partners, trade shows, and speaking opportunities.
- Update client media lists using Cision.
- Assist with consumer and trade media outreach.
- Support business development research.
What you'll need#
- Recent college graduate status with a strong interest in public relations.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong administrative, organizational, and computer skills.
- Ability to multitask, manage deadlines, and handle pressure.
- Previous internship experience.
- Educational background in Communications, Marketing, Public Health, or Business Administration.
Location & details#
- Location: Alexandria, Virginia.
- Modality: Hybrid. Interns are expected in the office on Mondays and Wednesdays, with occasional requirements to attend client meetings or collaboration days in person.
- Compensation: $18.00 to $18.40 per hour.
