About the role#
Branch is looking for a Summer Intern for our Heavy Civil Construction team in Virginia Beach. This full-time program offers students hands-on experience in preconstruction, project management, and field supervision. You will work within a structured environment designed to build skills for a career in the construction industry. The role requires travel to various job sites and offices.
What you'll do#
- Interact with subcontractors, vendors, and owners.
- Participate in cost planning, scheduling, and materials procurement.
- Assist with cost control and quality management.
- Follow all safety and security procedures.
- Prepare a presentation at the end of the program to outline your experience.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a college degree program for Building Construction, Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A courteous and professional attitude.
- A valid driver license with a good driving record.
- A determined approach to your work.
