About the role#
Branch is hiring a Summer Intern for our Heavy Civil Construction team. This program provides a structured environment for students to build skills for a career in the construction industry. You will work with our Preconstruction, Project Management, and Field Supervision teams while receiving training and mentorship.
What you'll do#
- Take on actual responsibilities within the project teams.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and owners.
- Assist with cost planning, scheduling, and materials procurement.
- Support cost control and quality management efforts.
- Follow safety protocols and identify appropriate action steps.
- Deliver a final presentation covering your experience at the end of the program.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a college degree program for Civil Engineering, Building Construction, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Clear written and verbal communication.
- A professional attitude when working with the public and colleagues.
- A valid driver license and a good driving record.
- Ability to travel to job sites and offices as assigned.
Location & details#
- Location: Verona, Virginia.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Schedule: Full-time, typically 40 or more hours per week.
- Compensation: $22 to $28 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
- This is a paid internship. Sponsorship is not provided.
