    About the role#

    This R&D Electrical Engineering Co-op position offers hands-on experience in the design, development, and testing of medical devices. You will work alongside our R&D team to contribute to projects that support the creation of technology used in clinical settings. The role involves a 2-3 semester rotation, providing exposure to product development processes within a regulated medical device environment.

    What you'll do#

    • Assist with circuit design, prototyping, and testing of medical devices.
    • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications and test reports.
    • Participate in design reviews and contribute to process improvements.
    • Provide support for reliability engineering, EMC, and IEC 60601-1-2 compliance.
    • Manage lab assets and assist with test fixture development using Altium/ECAD.
    • Improve engineering FMEA documentation and develop board-level reliability models.
    • Provide design verification support.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in a bachelor’s program for Electrical or Biomedical Engineering with sophomore or junior standing.
    • A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
    • Legal authorization to work in the United States full-time without sponsorship.
    • Ability to work 40 hours per week.
    • Familiarity with electrical design tools, preferably Altium.
    • Experience with electrical test equipment like oscilloscopes, digital multi-meters, and programmable loads.
    • Proficiency in software tools and programming languages.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Technical writing ability to develop reports for technology development.
    • Effective communication skills and the ability to work well within multidisciplinary teams.

    • Location: Eden Prairie, Minnesota.
    • Work modality: On-site.
    • Employment type: Full-time.
    • Compensation: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour.
    • Term: Rolling, 2-3 semester rotation.
