About the role#
The Donor Engagement Intern will support the Resource Development team with donor stewardship, data management, and administrative tasks. This part-time role offers practical experience in nonprofit operations and fundraising strategies. You will work in a hybrid environment, balancing on-site and remote responsibilities.
What you'll do#
- Maintain accurate donor records in Salesforce, including contact information and account updates.
- Assist with merging duplicate records and cleaning up data to ensure integrity.
- Support the creation of donor lists for campaigns, acknowledgments, and reporting.
- Prepare donor thank-you letters and acknowledgment emails.
- Assist with event-related invoicing and document expenses.
- Record in-kind donations and code gifts in Salesforce under supervision.
- Collaborate with the Finance team to reconcile donation records and assist with monthly reporting.
- Generate basic reports on donor activity and engagement metrics.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in college or recent graduate status.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data entry, reporting, and basic analysis.
- Comfort with technology and a willingness to learn CRM systems, specifically Salesforce.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- An interest in nonprofit work and donor relations.
- Preferred majors include Business Administration, Finance, Communications, Psychology, or Public Health.
