About the role#
Bowers Accountants & Advisors offers internship opportunities for students interested in public accounting. You will join our Audit or Tax team to gain practical experience and learn our business processes. This is a paid, full-time position based on-site in Watertown, New York. We offer programs for the Winter and Summer 2027 seasons.
What you'll do#
- Support the Audit or Tax team by learning core business functions.
- Assist in planning and preparing audit and tax services.
- Work alongside our staff accountants to gain support and learning tools.
- Use firm software to complete assigned tasks.
- Provide clear and accurate updates on your project status.
What you'll need#
- Active enrollment as an Accounting or Finance major.
- An interest in building a career in public accounting.
- Preference for candidates pursuing the 150-credit-hour academic requirement for CPA eligibility.
- Strong skills in organization, problem-solving, and analysis.
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite.
- Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

- Compensation: $20.00 to $28.00 per hour.
