About the role#
As a Quantum Research Intern, you will use your analytical skills to drive strategic innovation across federal government sectors. You will work directly with customers to identify their needs, analyze complex data sets, and provide insights that help them understand and apply their information. This role focuses on using data science and quantum information science to address challenges within the federal government.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with customers to define their research questions and requirements.
- Analyze data-rich environments to extract meaningful information.
- Apply data science and quantum information science techniques to solve problems.
- Translate complex data findings into actionable insights for the customer.
What you'll need#
- Academic research experience in computer science, quantum technology, physics, chemistry, or mathematics.
- Experience coding in quantum high-level or machine-level languages.
- Proficiency in an object-oriented language like Java, C++, C#, or Python.
- Ability to perform data gathering, analysis, and problem-solving tasks.
- Scheduled to earn a Bachelor’s degree by Winter 2028.
- Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, Data Science, Computer Engineering, or Systems Engineering is preferred.
- Pursuit of a Master’s degree is a plus.
