About the role#
This Student Nurse Apprentice Program (SNAP) offers paid clinical hours in Medical-Surgical or Progressive Care units for students graduating in December 2026. This role provides an opportunity to secure a Graduate Nurse position early. You will build clinical skills and confidence during your final semester. After completing your clinical hours, you will continue working 8 hours per pay period in an apprentice, LPN, or PCT capacity. This position is eligible for a $15,000 sign-on bonus, tuition support, and entry into an accredited Nurse Residency Program.
What you'll do#
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a nurse.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living and perform vital signs, intake and output monitoring, and prevention measures for falls and pressure ulcers.
- Collect clinical data and report changes in patient status to the nursing team.
- Help nurses with patient and family education.
- Document all patient care activities.
- Act as a 1:1 patient safety sitter when necessary.
- Participate in safety, quality, and regulatory compliance activities.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in the final year of an accredited RN or BSN program.
- No prior work or supervisory experience is required.
- No specific licenses or certifications are required.
- Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
