About the role#
This internship offers a chance to gain experience in an in-house legal department at a global aviation company. You will support the litigation team on files involving contentious issues and gain insight into the daily operations of a legal team within a large organization.
What you'll do#
- Support the litigation team by gathering facts, speaking with potential witnesses, and identifying risks.
- Conduct legal research on civil, commercial, and private international law and share your findings with the team.
- Use the Relativity artificial intelligence platform for document review and searches.
- Assist lawyers in preparing files for hearings and trials, including organizing data collection and conducting custodian interviews.
- Draft correspondence and legal documents, such as letters and preservation notices.
- Create timelines, summarize transcripts, and compile undertakings.
- Attend depositions and meetings, including preparing meeting minutes.
- Maintain and organize litigation records and files.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a program leading to a Diploma of College Studies (DCS) in Paralegal Technology.
- Current student status, as this role is not for new graduates.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and French.
- Strong writing and active listening skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and work independently.
- Comfort collaborating with cross-functional teams, including engineers and sales professionals.
- Canadian citizenship or the required immigration status to work full-time in Canada.
- Interest in civil and commercial law.

- Term: Winter 2027 (4 months).
- Work Modality: Hybrid.
