    About the role#

    This is a 12-month internship for the Winter 2027 term. You will join the Materials & Processes (M&P) Engineering team at the Marcel-Laurin plant. The role is open to current students, not new graduates. You may occasionally travel outside of Canada for training or work purposes.

    What you'll do#

    • Collaborate with M&P engineers on the Global 8000, 6500, and 5500 aircraft programs.
    • Handle daily technical challenges and long-term projects involving metallics, composites, coatings, sealants, and interior materials.
    • Manage environmental regulation compliance and projects focused on substituting banned substances.
    • Create test plans and coordinate with laboratories to execute testing, analyze data, and write reports.
    • Build and maintain project plans while managing risks and issues.
    • Present project results to senior specialists and management.
    • Take part in continuous improvement initiatives and team building activities.

    What you'll need#

    • Enrollment in a Bachelor of Engineering program in Materials, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering.
    • Familiarity with material science fundamentals, including metallics, polymers, composites, and chemical processes.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Strong analytical and project management skills.
    • A proactive approach and a focus on results.
    • Bilingual proficiency in English and French.
