About the role#
This internship offers an opportunity to join the Materials & Processes team for the Winter 2027 term. You will work on projects involving metallic materials, coatings, sealants, and surface treatments. This position is a full-time, paid role based in St-Laurent, Quebec, with a hybrid work schedule.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with Materials & Processes engineers across Environmental, Core, and Aircraft Completion Engineering.
- Support the Environmental and Chemical Engineering team with database development and chemical substance data management.
- Create test plans, coordinate testing with laboratories, analyze your results, and write technical reports.
- Assist with environmental regulatory compliance and projects focused on replacing banned or restricted substances.
- Manage project plans to ensure technical tasks stay on schedule.
- Identify and track project risks, escalating issues when necessary.
- Present project status updates, findings, and recommendations to management and senior specialists.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, tool development, and departmental process updates.
- Engage in team building and knowledge-sharing activities.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor degree in Materials, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- A solid grasp of materials science fundamentals, including polymers, metallic materials, composites, and chemical processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- A proactive, results-oriented mindset with the motivation to take ownership of your tasks.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and French.
- Knowledge of Power BI is an asset.
