About the role#
This internship provides an opportunity to support the Bombardier Experimental team. You will work on testing disciplines for product development, certification, and fleet support. This is a full-time, 8-month position for the Winter 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with senior engineers on the design, manufacturing, and commissioning of test rigs, wind tunnel models, and experimental installations.
- Execute mechanical designs for development projects and in-service aircraft fleet support.
- Document design processes and help implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Build your skills in 3D design and mechanical analysis.
- Learn about measuring instruments, sensors, and data acquisition systems.
- Coordinate closely with internal testing and manufacturing teams.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's program for mechanical or aerospace engineering, with at least 2 years completed.
- Proficiency in 3D and 2D mechanical design, specifically using CATIA V5 and Siemens NX.
- Proficiency with the MS Office suite.
- Fluency in French and English, both written and spoken.
- Eligibility for Controlled Goods Program authorization (CGD and ITAR).
- Strong communication skills, good judgment, and the ability to work well in a team.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- A strong interest in the aerospace industry and design.
Location & details#
- Location: St-Laurent, Quebec.
- Work Modality: Hybrid, requiring a commute to the Montreal area offices a few times a week.
- Status: Paid internship for current students only.
- Travel: You may be required to occasionally travel outside of Canada for training or work purposes.
