About the role#
Bolton & Menk is hiring Civil Engineering interns for the summer seasons of 2026 and 2027. You will work with our teams on community infrastructure projects, focusing on construction phase activities and structural engineering tasks. This is a paid, full-time, on-site position.
What you'll do#
- Assist with planning and design for civil engineering projects.
- Prepare technical reports, plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
- Perform construction observation, staking, and administration duties.
- Complete design calculations and review shop drawings.
- Navigate rugged terrain to perform field duties in outdoor conditions.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Civil Engineering or related degree program at an accredited institution.
- Sophomore standing or higher.
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8.
- Completed coursework in general surveying and AutoCAD drafting.
- A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

- Locations: Plymouth, Oakdale, or Burnsville, Minnesota.
- Work modality: On-site.
- Compensation: $18.00 to $24.00 per hour, plus overtime eligibility and paid time off.
