About the role#
Bolton & Menk is hiring interns for the Summer 2027 season. This role focuses on land development projects for private clients. You will gain hands-on experience by working on both design and construction phase activities.
What you'll do#
- Assist with planning and design tasks for civil engineering projects.
- Prepare technical reports, project plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
- Perform construction observation and construction staking in the field.
- Handle construction administration duties.
- Complete design calculations and review shop drawings.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Civil Engineering or closely related degree program.
- Sophomore standing or higher.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8.
- Completed coursework in general surveying and AutoCAD drafting.
- A valid driver’s license and your own transportation.
- Physical ability to work outdoors and navigate rugged terrain for construction observation.
- Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

- This is a full-time, paid internship.
- Positions are located in Plymouth, Minnesota and Mankato, Minnesota.
- This role is on-site.
