About the role#
As a Quality Engineering Intern, you will support the design, development, and maintenance of rigorous quality standards for aerospace products and manufacturing processes. You will work within cross-functional teams to build and sustain quality conformance systems, ensuring safe and reliable production. This role provides hands-on experience in quality risk assessment, data analysis, and continuous improvement.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate across production and engineering teams to support product quality assurance.
- Implement quality principles, processes, and metrics to reduce defects.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, including root cause analysis and corrective action.
- Help develop, review, and maintain Quality Management System (QMS) documentation.
- Assist in assessing supplier capabilities and auditing quality systems.
- Support design risk analysis, verification planning, and quality inspections.
- Partner with supply chain teams to validate supplier processes and verify product conformance.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a college or university with an expected graduation date on or after August 2027.
- A major in Aerospace, Mechanical, Industrial, Civil, Computer, or Electrical Engineering, or Mathematics, Statistics, or Physics.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Ability to work full-time for 10-12 weeks during Summer 2027.
- Must meet Export Control compliance as a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee).
Location & details#
- This is a paid, full-time internship for Summer 2027.
- The role is 100% on-site at one of the designated Boeing locations across the United States.
