About the role#
As a Quality Engineering Intern, you will support the design, development, and maintenance of rigorous quality standards for aerospace products and manufacturing processes. You will work within cross-functional teams to ensure safety and reliability, gaining hands-on experience in quality risk assessment, data analysis, and the implementation of quality management systems.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to support product quality assurance throughout the manufacturing lifecycle.
- Implement quality principles, processes, and metrics to reduce defects and drive customer satisfaction.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, including root cause analysis and corrective action planning.
- Develop, review, and maintain Quality Management System (QMS) documentation to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Assess supplier capabilities, conduct quality system audits, and validate supplier processes.
- Assist in design risk analysis, verification planning, and quality inspections.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a college or university with an expected graduation date on or after August 2027.
- A major in Aerospace, Mechanical, Industrial, Civil, Computer, or Electrical Engineering, or in Mathematics, Statistics, or Physics.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Ability to work full-time for 10-12 weeks during Summer 2027.
- Status as a U.S. Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 (U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee).
