About the role#
This is a full-time, paid Audit Analyst internship for the Winter 2027 term. You will work on-site in Toronto, contributing to audit engagements that assess management and internal control processes. This role provides assurance to senior management and the Board of Directors, helping to protect the firm by identifying risks and control deficiencies.
What you'll do#
- Execute audit engagements while following Corporate Audit Methodology.
- Formulate audit reports that provide clear insights on issues and potential risks.
- Conduct advisory engagements and monitor change management initiatives.
- Evaluate how emerging technology affects internal processes and controls.
- Use data analytics to improve the quality and efficiency of advisory work.
- Develop and maintain working relationships with key stakeholders.
- Think creatively to propose solutions and use judgment to solve problems.
- Maintain independence and stay current with industry, regulatory, and economic trends.
What you'll need#
- A post-secondary degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Strong interest in pursuing a CPA designation.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- In-depth analytical, problem-solving, and influence skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- A detail-oriented mindset and the ability to work as a self-starter.
- Experience in audit or specialized knowledge from education and business experience is an asset.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
