About the role#
This is a full-time, 4-month internship for Winter 2027. You will join the Corporate Audit team to provide assurance on internal control, risk management, and governance systems. You will work independently to assess processes and identify potential risks that could impact the organization.
What you'll do#
- Conduct audit and advisory engagements to assess management and internal control processes.
- Approve the nature, timing, and execution of audits and formulate insightful reports.
- Identify and evaluate the impact of new and emerging technology risks.
- Use data analytics to improve the quality and efficiency of advisory engagements.
- Monitor change management initiatives and identify potential risks.
- Develop and maintain working relations with key stakeholders.
- Maintain independence of the audit practice while adhering to Corporate Audit Methodology.
- Think creatively to propose new solutions and solve problems within established rules.
What you'll need#
- Post-secondary degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Interest in pursuing a CPA designation.
- Strong advanced Excel skills.
- In-depth analytical, problem-solving, and influence skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to work well in a team and collaborate effectively.
- Detail-oriented approach with a self-starter mindset.
- Curiosity and a willingness to take on new tasks.
- Prior audit experience is an asset.
