About the role#
As an AI Intern, you will work within the BMO technology team to optimize business operations through the application of artificial intelligence. This role involves analyzing business requirements, evaluating technology performance, and supporting project teams throughout the development lifecycle. You will work independently to diagnose problems and propose solutions while applying risk management frameworks to protect bank assets.
What you'll do#
- Identify strategies to optimize business services and inform decision-making.
- Define business requirements by analyzing data and documenting current processes.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to evaluate the impact of projects on business results.
- Assess the efficiency of technology systems and troubleshoot malfunctions.
- Develop project documentation and artifacts for stakeholders.
- Build test cases to validate business requirements and end-user testing results.
- Apply domain expertise to break down strategic problems and provide actionable insights.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an academic program (Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Data Science) with plans to return to studies.
- Understanding of artificial intelligence concepts, including generative AI, machine learning, natural language processing, and automation tools.
- Experience using AI-powered platforms to analyze information and streamline workflows.
- Knowledge of responsible AI principles, such as data privacy, security, and ethical use.
- Familiarity with Agile delivery, data analysis, and systems thinking.
- Strong verbal and written communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment.
