About the role#
As a Strategic Analytics Fellow, you will work directly with data scientists, strategists, and analysts. You will gain exposure to the full analytics process, from data collection to uncovering trends for our clients. This program includes a capstone project and provides mentorship from our staff. You will spend 12 weeks with us, learning the consulting side of progressive analytics.
What you'll do#
- Collect, clean, and upload datasets for analysis.
- Write simple ad-hoc SQL queries to support broader projects.
- Conduct data uploads for field surveys to assist with quality control.
- Help create client deliverables, including memos, reports, and presentations.
- Support the team by drafting documentation and user guides for internal reporting.
What you'll need#
- A genuine interest in working with a progressive social impact organization.
- Eagerness to learn data management, analysis, and visualization techniques.
- Familiarity with or a desire to learn SQL, Python, or R.
- Experience using presentation and spreadsheet software like Excel or Google Slides.
- Curiosity about working with complex datasets.
- A willingness to learn how to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
Location & details#
- This is a paid fellowship at $25 per hour.
- The role is available for Summer 2026.
- You may work remotely or on-site in Washington D.C.
- We are open to both full-time and part-time arrangements based on your availability.
- We can complete paperwork for students seeking academic credit.
