About the role#
This is a full-time internship for a Rust Developer to work directly on a systematic crypto trading engine. You will work alongside the Head of Trading and senior engineers to build and maintain production systems that trade real client capital. This role involves both low-latency systems development and the operational infrastructure required to support trading strategies.
What you'll do#
- Optimize and extend the existing Rust market-making engine.
- Integrate new CEX and DEX venues, including REST and WebSocket connections, order lifecycles, and market data normalization.
- Build and improve the internal trader dashboard through frontend and backend integrations.
- Hook services into GCP infrastructure, including deployment, observability, and data pipelines.
- Debug live systems by analyzing real trading logs and production behavior.
- Collaborate with quants to translate strategy logic into production code.
What you'll need#
- Solid Rust experience, specifically with non-trivial projects beyond basic tutorials.
- Proficiency in Linux or UNIX environments.
- A strong grasp of concurrency, async programming, and performance tradeoffs.
- Ability to write clean, well-tested code and familiarity with standard debugging workflows.
- Preferred experience includes crypto exchange APIs, frontend/backend development, GCP or cloud infrastructure, market data systems, Python, and networking fundamentals.
