About the role#
As a Summer 2027 Intern in the Substation group, you will contribute to infrastructure projects that support community needs. This role provides hands-on experience in an engineering, procurement, and construction environment. You will work alongside teams to turn technical concepts into real-world solutions.
What you'll do#
- Assist in the development of electrical engineering deliverables, including reports, drawings, specifications, and studies.
- Support engineering analyses, designs, and report production.
- Collaborate with other disciplines to schedule project deliverables.
- Organize and evaluate data using computer modeling to analyze systems.
- Manage project materials, references, and documentation.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an ABET-accredited Electrical Engineering program.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Relevant coursework or knowledge in Power Systems, Motors, Transformers, Renewable Energy, Power Delivery, or Three Phase Power Calculations.
- Familiarity with engineering design principles and design guides.
- Strong problem-solving skills, effective written communication, and the ability to build professional relationships.
- No prior experience is required.
