About the role#
This internship focuses on process documentation within the Technology Product Solutions division. You will work on knowledge capture methodology and continuous improvement projects. You will be assigned a mentor to guide your work and will present your final project to management at the end of the term.
What you'll do#
- Identify operational bottlenecks and find ways to improve them.
- Conduct employee interviews and shadow staff to understand daily tasks.
- Review, update, and digitize existing documentation.
- Develop systems to capture institutional knowledge.
- Apply root cause analysis and validate potential solutions.
- Present your findings and project results to leadership.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a rising senior or graduate student in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Analytics, Operations, Organizational Leadership, or a related field.
- Strong computer skills, specifically with Word, Excel, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of IT infrastructure products is a plus.
Location & details#
- This is an on-site position located in Lawrence, Pennsylvania.
- You must have reliable transportation.
- The schedule is Monday through Friday, totaling 20 to 25 hours per week.
