About the role#
Bird Construction is seeking a Student Quality Coordinator for an 8-12 month co-op position starting in January 2027. This paid, full-time internship provides an opportunity to manage a specific area of responsibility while receiving support from a supervisor and a technical mentor. You will be based on-site in Regina, Saskatchewan.
What you'll do#
- Create and update new procedures and the training matrix.
- Review RFPs, the Code of Construction, and various standards.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to resolve technical issues through Requests for Information (RFIs) and technical queries.
- Audit subcontractor quality management systems to ensure compliance with project scopes of work.
- Contribute to the improvement of quality processes and procedures.
- Assist with other tasks as the needs of the business change.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Mechanical, Structural, or Industrial Engineering program.
- Completion of at least one more semester of education following the internship.
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- The ability to work in an environment where change happens frequently.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- A sense of urgency and a commitment to achieving goals.
- A collaborative nature and a positive attitude.
- The ability to build and maintain professional relationships.
- Residency or a valid work permit to work for Bird Construction.
- You may be required to complete a pre-employment medical or alcohol and drug test depending on client requirements.
