About the role#
Benesch is hiring interns for the Summer 2026 term to work with our Transportation and Highway Design teams. This role provides an opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals on infrastructure projects. You will receive mentorship from senior engineers and gain exposure to project sites.
What you'll do#
- Contribute to engineering projects involving highway and roadway design.
- Perform traffic analysis.
- Engage in plan preparation.
- Gain hands-on experience in construction documentation and collaborative project delivery.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Strong interest in highway, roadway, or transportation engineering.
- Familiarity with design software such as MicroStation or AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Organizational skills to handle multiple assignments efficiently.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to and from project sites.
