About the role#
Benesch is hiring interns for the Summer 2027 term to join our Civil Team in Raleigh. You will work alongside experienced professionals to help improve roadway and highway infrastructure. This role offers mentorship from senior engineers and exposure to active project sites.
What you'll do#
- Contribute to engineering projects focused on highway and roadway design.
- Conduct traffic analysis to support project goals.
- Assist with the preparation of project plans.
- Gain hands-on experience using engineering design software and managing construction documentation.
- Participate in collaborative project delivery efforts.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in civil engineering or a related field.
- A strong interest in highway, roadway, or transportation engineering.
- Familiarity with design software such as MicroStation or AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Solid communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to work well within a team environment.
- Organizational skills to manage multiple assignments at once.
- A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for travel to project sites.
