About the role#
Benesch is hiring a Transportation Engineering Intern for the summer of 2027. You will work within our Civil - Roadway department in Glastonbury, Connecticut. This is a full-time, paid, on-site internship. You will work alongside experienced professionals to improve roadway and highway infrastructure.
What you'll do#
- Contribute to engineering projects involving highway and roadway design.
- Perform traffic analysis and prepare project plans.
- Gain hands-on experience in engineering design software.
- Learn about construction documentation and collaborative project delivery.
- Collaborate with experienced Transportation and Highway Design professionals.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- A strong interest in highway, roadway, or transportation engineering.
- Familiarity with design software such as MicroStation or AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work well within a team environment.
- Organizational skills to manage multiple assignments efficiently.
- A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to and from project sites.

- Compensation: $18 - $30 per hour.
