About the role#
As a Bridge and Structures Intern at Benesch, you will work alongside engineering professionals to deliver solutions for transportation projects. This role focuses on gaining hands-on experience by contributing to design, analysis, and field tasks while learning directly from experienced engineers. You will support conventional and complex bridge and structure design, load ratings, and bridge inspections.

What you'll need#
- Pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited university with a focus on structures.
- A master’s degree in Civil Engineering with a structural focus is preferred.
- A strong interest in bridge and structural engineering.
- Excellent analytical, technical, and communication skills.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Familiarity with AASHTO and MDOT design and construction standards is preferred.
