About the role#
As a Civil/Site Engineering Intern, you will gain hands-on experience supporting the planning, design, and development of civil engineering projects. You will work alongside experienced engineers and project managers to contribute to site investigations, technical drafting, data analysis, project design, and construction support. This role provides exposure to real-world projects, offering insight into civil engineering design, project development, regulatory requirements, and construction practices.
What you'll do#
- Participate in site visits to assess existing conditions and verify construction alignment.
- Assist with feasibility studies, site assessments, permitting research, and project documentation.
- Support engineers with site layouts, grading and drainage plans, stormwater management systems, and utility design.
- Prepare and update technical drawings using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
- Compile and analyze project data.
- Maintain project documentation and contribute to technical reports and project deliverables.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Interest in civil/site engineering, land development, infrastructure, and the built environment.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and Civil 3D is preferred.
- Previous internship, co-op, or field experience is a plus.
