About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience with civil and roadway infrastructure projects. You will work on-site at various project locations to assist with daily inspection and documentation. This is a paid, full-time position with a rolling application process.
What you'll do#
- Perform construction observation of daily activities.
- Maintain a field book following established project procedures.
- Measure construction work and perform quantity calculations for pay items.
- Prepare Inspector’s Daily Reports and other required project documentation.
- Review plans, specifications, and submittals related to your assigned work.
- Report progress, technical issues, and work status to the project supervisor.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a BS in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related curriculum.
- Prior experience working on field projects.
- A valid driver's license and a good driving record.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work efficiently.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Location & details#
This position is based in Glastonbury, Connecticut. It is an on-site, field-based role that requires travel to various project sites. Candidates must pass a driving record report.
