About the role#
As a Bridge and Structures Intern, you will work alongside experienced professionals to deliver solutions for transportation challenges. This role offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in design, analysis, and field tasks while contributing to active projects.
What you'll do#
- Support the design of conventional and complex bridges and structures.
- Assist with load ratings and bridge inspections.
- Contribute to design and analysis tasks.
- Learn directly from experienced engineers and project managers.
- Collaborate with team members on active engineering projects.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
- A strong interest in bridge and structural engineering.
- Excellent analytical, technical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Familiarity with AASHTO, IDOT, and ISTHA design and construction standards is preferred.
