About the role#
This internship offers the opportunity to work alongside bridge and structural engineering professionals on transportation projects. You will gain hands-on experience by contributing to design, analysis, and field tasks while receiving mentorship from project engineers and managers.
What you'll do#
- Support the design of both conventional and complex bridges and structures.
- Assist with load ratings and bridge inspections.
- Contribute to design and analysis tasks on active projects.
- Learn directly from experienced engineers in a collaborative environment.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
- A strong interest in bridge and structural engineering.
- Excellent analytical, technical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a team.
- Familiarity with AASHTO, IDOT, and ISTHA design and construction standards is preferred.
