About the role#
Benesch is hiring for a Bridge Design and Structural Engineering Internship in Pottsville, Pennsylvania. You will work alongside professional engineers to deliver solutions for transportation challenges. This is a paid, full-time, on-site role with a rolling application window.
What you'll do#
- Support the design of conventional and complex bridges and structures.
- Perform load ratings and bridge inspections.
- Contribute to analysis, design, and field tasks.
- Learn directly from experienced Project Engineers and Project Managers.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited university with a focus on structures.
- A master’s degree in Civil Engineering with a structural focus is preferred, or plans to obtain one within two years.
- Strong interest in bridge and structural engineering.
- Excellent analytical, technical, and communication skills.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work effectively within a team.
- Familiarity with AASHTO and PennDOT design and construction standards is preferred.
