About the role#
This co-op position offers hands-on experience in late-stage clinical cell therapy manufacturing. You will support strategic initiatives that strengthen process understanding, sterility assurance, and manufacturing robustness. You will work across Manufacturing, Quality, Validation, and Technical Operations teams to support projects focused on aseptic process simulation, process validation, and regulatory inspection readiness.
What you'll do#
- Develop project plans, define objectives, and track outcomes against timelines.
- Support the Aseptic Process Simulation (APS) program, including protocol development, data analysis, and report generation.
- Assist with Pre-License Inspection (PLI) readiness by reviewing documents and verifying data.
- Prepare technical summaries and presentations for leadership and stakeholders.
- Maintain documentation in accordance with GMP requirements.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Chemical Engineering, Bioengineering, Biomedical Engineering, Biotechnology, or a related field.
- Completion of at least two years of undergraduate study.
- Interest in biopharmaceutical manufacturing, cell therapy, or GMP operations.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work onsite in Durham, NC, and enter manufacturing or laboratory environments while following gowning and safety requirements.
Location & details#
- Location: Durham, North Carolina.
- Term: Winter and Summer 2027 (January through June).
- Modality: Hybrid, requiring onsite attendance 4-5 days per week.
- Status: Full-time, paid position.
- Pay Range: $24 to $34 per hour.
