About the role#
This is a 6-month co-op position running from January through June 2027. You will join the Clinical Pharmacology & Pharmacometrics (CPP) team to support drug development through quantitative modeling and simulation. The role focuses on the autoimmune therapeutic area and offers exposure to Quantitative Systems Pharmacology (QSP), artificial intelligence, and Model-Based Meta-Analyses (MBMA).
What you'll do#
- Develop and refine mechanistic QSP models to support drug discovery.
- Evaluate AI and machine learning approaches to improve modeling workflows.
- Perform MBMA to generate quantitative evidence for drug development decisions.
- Analyze and interpret preclinical and clinical data to inform model development.
- Follow industry-standard data handling and modeling rules.
- Create internal progress presentations and contribute to external posters or manuscripts.
What you'll need#
- Ph.D. candidate (3rd year or above) with experience in quantitative, computational, or mechanistic modeling.
- Master’s degree or Pharm.D. candidates with demonstrated modeling, data analysis, or computational biology experience will also be considered.
- Proficiency in R, Python, MATLAB, or similar scientific computing tools.
- Experience analyzing biological, preclinical, clinical, or omics datasets.
- Strong quantitative reasoning and scientific problem-solving skills.
- Ability to learn and apply new computational and modeling techniques independently.
- Currently enrolled in an accredited academic program.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. and at least 18 years of age.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, remote position based in the United States.
- Compensation is $29.00 to $33.00 per hour, depending on academic level and degree candidacy.
- Benefits include company paid holidays, commuter benefits, and 80 hours of sick time per calendar year.
