About the role#
Beam Therapeutics is seeking a Quality Co-op for the Winter 2027 term. This position provides exposure to Quality Systems through rotations in Document Control and Supplier Management. You will work with cross-functional teams to support key quality processes and gain insight into how these functions support company operations.
What you'll do#
- Support the draft and review of Standard Operating Procedures and related GMP documents.
- Participate in system improvement initiatives to optimize business processes within Veeva.
- Assess document metadata and assist in the organization of the Document Archival Room.
- Enter paper archives into a database and perform site-wide logbook cleanup.
- Create Person Records, assign learner roles, and run Veeva/Success Factors reports.
- Develop micro-learning training materials and create process flow charts.
- Support BEAM-101 and BEAM-302 supplier commercialization activities.
- Complete supplier qualification documentation and assess authorized vendor status.
- Support the reassessment of existing forms and records while identifying gaps for new assessments.
- Align supplier risk assessments and document commercial-readiness status.
- Support SCN intake, tracking, and associated change controls.
- Maintain visibility of overdue actions, track supplier audit responses, and review supporting evidence.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree-granting college or university program, maintaining student status throughout the co-op.
- Pursuing a degree in Biomedical Engineering, Biomedical Sciences, Biology, Chemistry, or Pharmaceutical Sciences.
- A solid academic foundation in science and laboratory coursework.
- Prior industry internship or academic lab-based research experience is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and an organized, curious approach to teamwork.

- Compensation: This is a paid position with an hourly rate range of $23 to $30 USD, determined by experience and education.
