About the role#
BDO Canada is seeking a Co-op student or Intern to join the Forensic Disputes & Investigation team in Toronto. This position runs from January to April 2027. You will work within a national team to provide investigative, litigation support, and insurance advisory services to our clients.
What you'll do#
- Examine financial records, analyze data, and construct financial models.
- Conduct economic and industry research to support forensic analysis.
- Assist in drafting reports and presentations for clients.
- Support relationships with current and prospective clients.
- Participate in meetings with engagement teams to plan and perform tasks.
- Execute forensic investigations into areas such as fraud, corruption, and money laundering.
- Perform accounting analysis related to commercial insurance claims and litigation support.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a post-secondary program specializing in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
- A strong interest in pursuing a career in Investigative and Forensic Accounting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and effectively within a team environment.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.

- Term: Winter 2027 (January to April).
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: $48,000 - $60,000.
