About the role#
This summer internship offers undergraduate students a hands-on opportunity to gain practical experience within the Quality department at BD. You will be immersed in one of our core groups, such as Quality Systems, Quality Assurance, Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Quality, Quality Control, or Continuous Improvement. The program is designed to enhance your career readiness and provide a deeper understanding of the medical technology industry through project work, networking events, and professional development workshops.
What you'll do#
- Work alongside experienced Quality Engineers on meaningful, results-driven projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, Regulatory Affairs, Medical Affairs, and Manufacturing.
- Participate in team-building activities and professional development sessions.
- Gain exposure to BD operations and our mission to advance the world of health.
What you'll need#
- Completion of your Junior year toward a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Life Sciences, or Quality Sciences.
- An expected graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028.
- Demonstrated technical aptitude and leadership potential.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven organization and time management abilities.

- Location: Franklin Lakes, New Jersey.
- Term: Summer 2027 (starting June 7, 2027).
- Work Modality: Hybrid (requires a minimum of 4 days of in-office presence per week).
- Status: Full-time, paid internship.
