About the role#
This position supports the Volunteer Service Coordinator and the Mobilization team at Mission Waco. As a student worker, you will assist in administering a volunteer program by managing data, coordinating with staff, and supporting volunteers throughout the semester. This role requires Federal Work-Study eligibility and reliable transportation for off-campus work.
What you'll do#
- Assist with recruitment activities, tabling events, and volunteer orientations.
- Maintain the volunteer database and update profiles.
- Generate reports and perform general administrative office tasks.
- Create content such as flyers and handouts for programs and special events.
- Provide ongoing support to volunteers and attend programs to facilitate connections.
- Communicate with volunteers and staff via email, phone, text, and in-person interactions.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment at Baylor University with Federal Work-Study eligibility.
- Proficiency in general office software including Excel and Word.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to operate basic office equipment.
- Interest in the mission and goals of the non-profit.
- Ability to work well in a team environment with strong problem-solving skills.
- Preferred majors include Communications, Psychology, Sociology, Political Science, Business Administration, or Human Resources.

- Location: Waco, Texas.
- Work Modality: On-site at Mission Waco Mission World.
- Term: Fall 2026.
- Schedule: 10 to 20 hours per week with flexible working hours.
- Pay: $11.00 to $12.50 per hour depending on student status and skill level.
